These Green Tea Cup Cakes are so good! It’s important though to use good quality Matcha to make this recipe, to bring out the green tea flavor. U Matcha is a great quality Matcha that can used both for beverages and cooking!
Green Tea Cup Cakes
- 1 box White Cake Mix
- 3 tbsp U Matcha Plus a little extra for garnish
- 1 pint Heavy Cream
- 1 Cup Powder Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Pre-heat oven according to box directions
Prepare cake mix according to box. I use applesauce instead of regular oil or shortening. Makes for a more moist cake!
Fill cup cake tin 2/3 full
Bake according to package directions.
Let cool, then add frosting
Pour heavy cream into a chilled bowl. Using chilled beaters, beat the cream until frothy,
Add powder sugar and vanilla gradually while beating.
Whip until consistency is thick enough to spread.
Fill a piping bag, and ice the cup cakes.
Sprinkle matcha on top of the icing.
Serve and Enjoy!
